Living the Word
Weekly meetings that are an opportunity to discuss the Sunday
readings, have them explained in the context of how they affect our
everyday lives, so that they are then more meaningful when you hear
them at mass. You can attend and take part or just attend and listen.
Its up to you. Wednesdays – 7.30pm. Parish meeting room.
St Teresa had a great love of scripture and she carried a small book
of the Gospels near her heart at all times. In the Gospels she came to
know Jesus and discovered what she describes as her “Little Way” of
spiritual childhood – a way of confidence and trust and of total surrender
to God`s Merciful Love.

Children`s Liturgy
It is a mirroring, in a way which is accessible to young children, of
the adult liturgy and learning in church. At the Sunday 10am mass
the children process to the Parish centre – usually for one infant and
one junior group – to listen and explore the Gospel of the day. They
return to church at the offertory procession to join in the rest of the
mass. This is not a crèche and activities vary but normally include
singing, discussion and prayer time. Sometimes the children are
involved in mime or dramatising the Gospel story, doing craft and
drawing activities. On some special Sundays the children lead the
main liturgy in the church.
Co-ordinator Children`s Liturgy – Christine Southworth.
Team members: Yvonne Baron, Catherine Boland, Eileen Lomax,
Margaret Mary Osborne, Cecilia Rigby, Jane Simpson, Catherine Turner.
